- Government job workers are not eligible for the scheme.
- If anyone in the family is getting a pension then they will not eligible for the scheme.
- Students doing the following courses are eligible-
- Students should be enrolled in the Government or Government Aided or Private Colleges affiliated with State Universities / Boards.
- The annual income of the family should be less than 2.5 lakh rupees per year.
- Beneficiaries should have only 25 acres / of wetlands under 10 acres/acre of land and wetland under less than 25 acres of agricultural land.
- Applicants should not have any 4-wheeler (car, taxi, auto, etc.).
The objective of the Jagananna Vidya Deevena scheme
- Providing help to financially weak students who want to study but are unable to do so due to a lack of finances
- Promoting higher education in the state and encouraging youth to further education
- Under the scheme, the fees of students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Minorities, Kapu, Economically Backward Classes, and Different Classes will be reimbursed.
- At the outset, full fees will be reimbursed to students pursuing B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, M.Tech, M.Pharmacy, MBA, MCA, B.Ed, and such courses.
