Eligibility criteria for the Haryana Cadre 5 IAS Recruitment
The Haryana Government shall consider the case of a person not belonging to the HCS but serving in connection with the affairs of the Haryana State,
- Who is of outstanding merit and ability;
- Who holds a gazetted post in a substantive capacity;
- Who has completed n at less than 8 years of continuous service under the State Govt. on the first day of January of the year (i.e. 01.01.2019) in which his case is being considered for any post which has been declared equivalent to the post of Deputy Collector in the State Civil Service and proposes the person for consideration of the Committee. The num her of persons proposed for the consideration of the Committee shall not exceed five times the number of the vacancies proposed to be filled during the year.
Age Limit:
- Applicant’s age should be below 56 years as on January 1, 2023
- The applicant has completed at least eights years of service as on January 1, 2023
Selection Procedure:
After examination, the Haryana Public Service Commission, on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination, will recommend, in order of merit, names of applicants not exceeding 5 times the number of vacancies to the Haryana Government for onward submission of their names to the UPSC, as accepted applicants, in order in which they are recommended by the HPSC.
